Indie gems across every genre

We play mobile games nobody's talking about yet and tell you which ones are worth your evening. Right now we're deep into Luxora, and the whole team has thoughts. No hype, just what actually happens when you press start.

Why us

We actually finish them

No review goes up until someone on the team has put in real hours. Half-played opinions help nobody.

Nobody pays us for scores

Developers can send us games, but they can't buy a number. Our ratings stay ours.

Plain talk only

We skip the marketing language. If controls feel mushy or a level drags, we'll just say it.

Emberfall Saga
RPG

Emberfall Saga

★★★★★ 4.5

Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing itself down. Battles are turn-based and readable at a glance, which matters when you're playing in short bursts. Each character you recruit comes with a personality that actually changes their dialogue and, sometimes, whether they'll follow a risky order.

  • Party members with real personality
  • Skill system built around shared backstory
  • Battles that fit into short sessions

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We rotate who gets to pitch a title, then argue it out as a team, and reader suggestions go into the same pile. A game gets covered if it's an indie release someone on the team genuinely wants to spend a week with. Popularity doesn't earn a spot on its own.

Do developers pay you for reviews?

No, and they can't. Studios are welcome to send us copies, but money never changes hands over coverage or scores. Every rating reflects what we actually thought after playing — Luxora, for example, earned its high score through hours of play, not any arrangement.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Absolutely, that's one of our favorite kinds of email. Send us a link and a line about why you love it. We can't promise to review everything, but we read every suggestion and a lot of our best finds started as reader tips.

Does the site run advertising?

We keep the site as clean as we can and don't run intrusive ads or pop-ups. If that ever changes, we'll label anything sponsored clearly and it will never affect a review score. Editorial and any future ads stay in separate lanes.
