About

Pocket Pilgrim started as a group chat where three friends kept swapping links to weird little games we found buried in the app stores. Eventually the chat got too long and we decided to write things down properly. That's the whole origin story — no grand plan, just curiosity that got out of hand.

We cover indie mobile games specifically because that's where the surprises live. A two-person studio can try something a big publisher never would, and half the time it flops, but the other half you get something genuinely fresh. We're here for that other half.

Every game we review gets played for real, usually across several days and at least one commute. We don't grade based on a trailer or a press kit. If a game bores us by day two, we say so. If it grabs us and won't let go, we try to figure out why.

We pick titles by rotating who gets to bring in a suggestion, then arguing about it. Reader tips go into the same pile. Nothing gets special treatment for being popular or for being sent to us politely.
