Tidewatch Command
Tidewatch Command asks you to run a town built on rafts, which is a great excuse for constant, satisfying problem-solving. You allocate crews between fishing, repairs, and lookout duty, and the sea keeps changing the rules on you. A calm afternoon becomes a scramble the moment a storm front rolls in from the map's edge.
What I appreciated is how legible the strategy layer is. You can pause and see exactly why a plan failed. The tutorial is a little stiff, but once it lets go, the game trusts you to experiment. I rebuilt my whole layout three times before I found something that could survive a bad week.
The pacing does spike hard around the sixth region, so keep a save handy. Otherwise this is a smart, portable strategy game that doesn't need an internet connection to shine.
